Meet the Founders

  • CEO

    Licheng received his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in computer science from UCLA in 2022 and 2021, respectively. He has working experience at VMware research, AMD/Xilinx Research Lab, and Meta. Licheng has 20 peer-reviewed publications and has two Best Paper Awards in FPGA 2021 and 2022.

  • CTO

    Jason received a master’s degree in computer science from UCLA in 2022 and expects to receive a Ph.D. degree from UCLA in 2023. Jason has worked at CERNET CNGI, Google Cloud, and AMD/Xilinx Research Lab. Jason has 12 peer-reviewed papers published with one of them recognized as the Best Paper.

  • Chief Scientist

    Prof. Jason Cong is the Volgenau Chair for Engineering Excellence in the UCLA Computer Science Department. He is a a member of the National Academy of Engineering, and fellow of ACM, IEEE, the National Academy of Inventors. Prof. Cong co-founded AutoESL and Falcon Computing, which were both acquired by AMD/Xilinx and evolved into today's Vitis HLS.

  • Chief Technology Advisor

    Prof. Zhiru Zhang is an Associate Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University and a member of the Computer Systems Laboratory. He is an IEEE Fellow. Prof. Zhang co-founded AutoESL, which was acquired by AMD/Xilinx and evolved into today's Vitis HLS.
